Each year, film majors ply their newly acquired craft to give birth to a cinematic work as their final educational project.  From story-board to camera to sound and image on a screen in a darkened theatre, the film auteur must work through a very complex process that not only demands the talent of a creative artist and story-teller, but the expertise of a technician in many disciplines as well.  No matter how difficult juggling all these elements may be, the end result is a "Power of the Whole" which must edify and entertain an audience, all the while making the process seem effortless, natural and wholly transparent.  When it works, it's a marvel to behold; it's The Movies!

So here are the new movie-makers.  After years of work and study under masterful Professors who helped them hone their craft, they come, their completed efforts in hand, ready to screen them before us, the always demanding audience.

This not-to-be-missed annual CinEvent will screen three times for your convenience.  Sit back, be amazed and then get ready to critique what you see, because here, unlike most other films you see, you get to tell the filmmaker exactly what you thought of his/her effort -- yes, our filmmakers are truly brave souls!   Applause welcome.  Ballots will be handed out for your candid comments.

Meet the Filmmakers

Film-makers will discuss their works after the screenings

Note:  All works in this presentation will be screened in video format.

There are no scheduled films during the summer.  We recommend that you look at the films offered at Celebrate Brooklyn -- Movies Under the Stars.  Click here:  www.CelebrateBrooklyn.org
