By Train:

New York Subway:  From within the system, make your way to the IRT #2 train going downtown to Brooklyn / Flatbush Avenue (Flatbush Avenue is the last stop on this line). Be sure the train you board says Flatbush Avenue on the front car (some #2 trains go to New Lots Avenue).

LIRR  Take the to Atlantic Avenue station. Transfer to the subway's: IRT #2 or # 5 to the Flatbush Avenue station. OR, transfer at Atlantic Avenue to the B41 bus, to the Nostrand Avenue stop.

The destination will be at The Junction -- a major intersection in Brooklyn of Flatbush Avenue, Nostrand Avenue and Hillel Place.   Standing at Hillel Place (Flatbush Federal Savings Bank will be on the corner), walk along Hillel Place toward the large Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts electronic marquee at the end of the block at Campus Road; the entrance to Performing Arts complex is accessed through the college's main entrance gate, with the exception of the Gershwin Theatre entrance which is about 50 yards to the LEFT of the college gates. 

Brooklyn Center's Administrative offices and the Levenson Recital Hall are in Gershwin Hall -- the building to the LEFT immediately after you enter the campus gates.  Whitman Hall is the large building on the path directly in front of you as you walk through the main gates.  The Whitman Theatre and The New Workshop Theatre are both located in Whitman Hall.
