The Brooklyn College Preparatory Center Presents

Prep Center Faculty Recital
Jenny Pham, Violin and Arianna Goldina, Piano

These faculty virtuosi perform works by Liszt, Prokofiev and Wieniawski.

The Brooklyn College Preparatory Center for the Performing Arts was founded in 1978 as the pre-college component of The Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music, the Brooklyn College Department of Theater and the then-existing Brooklyn College Department of Dance. Today the Prep Center is lauded for its highly praised, child-appropriate classes in music, theater, and dance. Our programs are for children beginning at age three and a half and for also adults. We offer hands on, skills-based education, nurturing and enabling our students to fully develop their talents. Our caring, professional faculty are experienced teachers dedicated to letting each student explore their chosen field, while teaching them the technical skills that help to hone the individual's performance ability.

The Faculty Recitals give students and the general public the chance to see these dedicated, talented teachers outside the classroom environment, playing works which are their personal favorites.  This winter recital will feature works by Bartok and Wienawski.

A Dance Theatre in Westchester Production

Tchaikovsky’s brilliant music comes to life in wintry colonial Yorktown, complete with a red-coated mouse army, an enchanted nutcracker prince, and compelling narration that will help illuminate this timeless story for both the young and the young at heart. Created especially for children, this hour-long version of the holiday ballet is performed by Dance Theatre in Westchester.
