Gone in 60
The World's
First International
One-Minute Play
Festival
1 Event - 2 Locations - 100 Plays!
It’s 50 original plays in 50 minutes,
each lasting no more than 60 seconds, and brought to life by an
ensemble cast of Brooklyn College Theater students, BC alumni, and
professional guest artists. At the same time, another 50 original
plays will be staged at the Viaduct Theatre, Dean Clough Mills in
Halifax, England.
From both sides
of the Atlantic and on the Gi60 Channel on YouTube, each cast
skillfully accelerates through their 50 plays, seizing the audience
with infectious energy, while still allowing each piece to breathe
on its own.
Because Gi60’s mission is to deliver theater where no theater
has gone before, all 100 plays are filmed and made available for
viewing on the Gi60 Channel:
www.youtube.com/user/gi60channel
and linked through
www.gi60.blogspot.com.
For the fifth year, BBC Big Screen will show plays from both venues
in Leeds, Sheffield, and other cities across the UK throughout the
summer.
All proceeds will benefit the
Gi60
U.S./UK Collaboration Award,
a scholarship given to deserving theater students who embody the
spirit of collaboration.
