Embark on a whole new adventure with loveable Clifford, the big red dog with a heart of gold. Based on the classic children’s books by Norman Bridwell, this brand new musical is full of memorable songs and fun choreography celebrating the timeless values of sharing, respect, and cooperation. Hope and A Future
Featuring Oleta Adams, Chrisette Michele and Carimi
 

A poignant, heart-touching event where music brings us together for a great cause.  Hear stellar artists portraying various genres including Jazz, R&B, Inspirational, Rock, Kompa, Dance, and Spoken Word celebrating Haitian resiliency and culture. Along with vignettes spotlighting Haïti’s culture and history with a focus on the Community2Community Haïti Restoration and Transformation Project based in Petit Goâve, Haïti. The concert brings this dynamic group of artist together in the spirit that is community on the anniversary of the devastating earthquake to raise funds for the project.

Two Open Rehearsals

The School of Visual, Media and Performing Arts is partnering with the Martha Graham Dance Company to offer two unique and intensive classes -- Technique and Composition -- for credit for undergraduates from January 9th through the 26th, 2012.  Students can sign up now; get registration and tuition information by calling 718-951-3180.

The Martha Graham Dance Company, which will be practicing for its next tour at Brooklyn Center’s Walt Whitman Theatre during the week of January 23, has agreed to open its rehearsals to students that week.  The general public will also have the extraordinary opportunity to attend a special invite to two open rehearsals with this legendary dance company.

Even if your kids don’t like vegetables, they won’t be able to resist Hot Peas ‘N Butter!  This children’s musical group combines an interactive, invigorating approach to performance with multicultural music, blending jazz, R&B, folk, rock, and Afro-Caribbean tunes that will have your kids dancing in the aisles.
