A MainStage Production
It’s the
spring of 1932 and, in Berlin, a new age of
fascism has begun, in this early,
controversial work by the author of Angels
in America. As stunned radicals and artists
sift through the ashes of democracy, a young
film actor remains in her apartment, trying
to keep history at bay. Meanwhile, her rooms
are haunted by a young woman from the
future, who hears the reverberations of the
past collide with her own time, the dawn of
a new turbulent era.
