A small-town cop strays from his scripted pursuit of the American Dream when he becomes increasingly consumed with salvaging the life of a teen-age prostitute, as each tries to reconcile success with happiness. Rebecca Gilman gives us a provocative play that challenges our ideas of work and reward. |
